According to some research, there is a link between stress and depression. This has led to some recent research on mindfulness as a tool for happiness. Mindfulness is a state of focus and peacefulness that exists at the core of all human beings. And it’s not just the most socially acceptable way for humans to run our lives, it actually makes us happier, healthier and more productive overall. There are several ways to harness this power and learn mindfulness, such as through meditation, yoga classes and mindfulness retreats. Shit happens – but mindfulness can help us to deal with it.
