I recently visited Rome and the Iconic Rome Colosseum, Standing in the middle of the arena is just amazing, I can’t describe the feeling that I was enjoying at that time. Our trip was of 7 days and the second day was the best because I am a huge fan of historic movies and especially a movie called Gladiator and after watching that movie I became eager to visit the Rome Colosseum. The Colosseum has faced many executions and witnessed a large number of fights in which gladiators used to fight. So, I was really excited to visit the same turf on which gladiators used to fight. But I was surprised by the Colosseum Underground tour, I didn’t expect that the tour would be so fun. They took us to the hidden caves which are beneath the arena. Those canals were used to carry the dead bodies of the fighters or the gladiators who died during the fight. It is also believed that the Colosseum was also used as a graveyard for the people who use to die during the fights and the prisoners who were imprisoned in the Colosseum itself. There was also a Prison inside the Colosseum. And the way from the arena to the prison was connected by a bridge called the death bridge. That’s a little scary place because that was the area from where dead bodies were carried. Colosseum Tickets and Tour Price I was happy that we chose the Colosseum underground tour and were able to see the hidden paths and ways which we couldn’t see in the normal tour. I would recommend others to take the same tour which we took and discover the hidden areas of the Colosseum.
