This small version of SAINT LAURENT's 'Envelope' bag will store just the essentials. Saint Laurent does red really, really well but even still I couldn't decide which bag I wanted to make mine. Since his appointment, Saint Laurent's designer Anthony Vaccarello has adapted to his post at the brand by working with the existing accessories aesthetic established by his predecessor Hedi Slimane. When Varccarello introduced the Loulou back in 2017, we immediately knew it would be an important new release for the brand. The bags are a continuation of ideas first introduced in the Monogramme line, but with an elevated appeal.3 nails fastener on flap. Overall the construction of this bag feels very sturdy. I haven't had any popped stitches or marks visible to the naked eye. The bags are made of 100 cotton and trimmed in leather, though it's unclear if the canvas is coated similar to Louis Vuitton's coated canvas, as we've yet to see these bags in person. Currently, the logo canvas is available in three shapes, a classic camera bag, a bucket bag, and a saddle bag. My office is business casual, which I am thankful for because I am not very formal. I paired my Envelope bag with a leopard print turtleneck under a black swing dress. It has gotten very cold in the DC area, so tights were a necessity.It's strung from a sliding chain strap in gold to match the iconic 'YSL' hardware and opens to reveal a canvas lining. Nice and original Saint Laurent backpack in red and beige bicolor canvas with flowered pattern and black leather, hardware in silver metal, simple handle in black canvas, double adjustable strap in black canvas allowing the bag to be worn in the hand or on the saint laurent bags shoulder. Zip closure. Lining in black canvas, three compartments and one of them is zipped. Sold with dustbag. Few logos are more iconic than SAINT LAURENT's 'YSL' plaque, so you know this 'Monogramme' bag will always be a wise investment. I was super tempted by the black leather featuring the black matte hardware, it looks so chic and sleek, but ultimately the gold hardware and tan-colored leather won me over. Overall this bag gets a solid 4 stars. The shape of the Sac de Jour is classic and perfect for an every day bag.
