「寵物共享」這個概念已經在香港推動過，但反應卻一般。因為對視自己寵物為親人的香港人來講，將寵物暫時託付給陌生人代為照顧實在難以放心。 所以寵物本身出租的共享經濟模式是否能成功，好大程度在於用戶之間的信任度。 但是其實寵物共享市場除了寵物本身出租外，亦有其他的服務，包括各種寵物物品共享，寵物主人之間的資訊共享等。 寵物物品共享： 香港人對自己的寵物溺愛有加，常常會為寵物購買很多專屬的物品，例如寵物窩屋，玩具，衣服等等。可是這樣做的後果一方面會花費不少錢，一方面會製造多餘的寵物物品。而寵物物品共享透過寵物主之間的物品互換，正正可以有效地減少養寵物人士的費用，亦可以減少垃圾的製造，減少香港堆填區的壓力。 寵物資訊共享： 每一個寵物主人都想更好地照顧自己寵物，所以都想盡可能地了解自己寵物的資訊，例如不能對寵物做的禁忌，如何有效地訓練寵物，學習寵物生病的常識等等。在寵物資訊共享下，寵物主人的種種問題都可以得到其他寵物主人的解答，有助解決關於寵物的疑問，讓寵物活得更開心快樂。 The concept of pet-sharing has been widely advocated in Hong Kong, but the participatory rates seem to low and fail to draw attention from the general public.
