I've been living in Macau for many years and have grown accustomed to its pace and lifestyle. A couple of months ago, though, I faced an issue: one of my broken molars shattered completely while I was eating. I saw a dentist the same day, and they advised me to extract the tooth and replace it with an implant. Recently, I've read about the risks of missing teeth and realized that getting an implant is essential. I also knew that dental care in Zhuhai was much cheaper than in Macau, but I hadn't looked into it because crossing the border used to be inconvenient. Thankfully, this year, non-Chinese permanent residents of Hong Kong and Macau can apply for a mainland travel pass, allowing visa-free visits.A colleague of mine, who has been going to Zhuhai for dental treatment, recommended a few clinics. After some research, I chose Vickong Dental due to their excellent reviews and experience with foreign patients. Making an appointment was simple via WhatsApp.At the clinic, I was pleasantly surprised that the staff spoke English. The dentist was very professional and thorough, explaining everything clearly. The best part? The implant cost was only 5,180 CNY! However, I couldn't proceed immediately as my bone needed more time to heal after the extraction. The dentist was very responsible and ensured I was properly prepared灬. I'm sharing my experience to help anyone else going through the same thing and to discuss dental implants further. I'd love to hear from others who've had the procedure done so I can be fully prepared when it's my turn!
