一個乘坐傳統航空的理由 A reason to fly with regular airlines 認識我的朋友都應該會知道，如果前往同一個短途目的地，有傳統航空公司和廉價航空公司供選擇，我多半都選擇後者，因為我覺得傳統航空的服務，對我來說不太有必要。 早一陣子，我到了越南度假。為了省下越南簽證的費用，和度過一個陽光與海灘的假期，是次的目的地定為越南富國島。越南政府為了開發這個國內最大島嶼的旅遊業，故此免去只到訪該島遊客的簽證。至少航空公司的網站是這樣說。 如是者，我乘坐魚翅航空往胡志明市，再轉乘越南蓮花航空往富國島。由於我手持的並非一票到底的機票，所以我在胡志明市並不能直接轉機。 乘坐第一航段前，魚翅航空的空姐已經再三查閱我的入境要求。到達胡志明市新山一國際機場後，我也在禁區內第一時間往越南蓮花航空的轉機櫃檯，生怕有需要被原機遣返。蓮花航空櫃檯的地勤姨姨剛開始以敷衍的態度，指示說要入境後再到國內線航廈轉機。當被關員拒絕入境後，唯有再找蓮花航空求助。地勤姨姨再將這個燙手山芋拋給地勤小弟，地勤小弟把下一程的登機證給列印出來，叫我們再試試過關，又說可能要由航空公司的職員帶過關。 不久，地勤小弟帶來了一位魚翅航空的越南籍高級空姐，她好像是整個機場中，唯一知道富國島免簽證安排的人。她來回在櫃檯和辦公室給關員們解釋，最後在她的協助下，關員老大終於在護照上蓋了章。 最後，到達國內線航廈的時間是剛剛好，接得上蓮花航空的航段。如果其中一個航段是乘坐廉價航空，恐怕也未必能如此順利地入境。在此感謝魚翅航空的Tran（陳）姓空姐，讓我免於被遣返。 Most of my friends would know that I would choose to fly with budget airlines rather than regular airlines, since I don't think the services provided by regular airlines are not necessary for me. I went to Vietnam for vacation earlier. In order to save visa fees, and have a "Sun and beach" holiday, Phu Quoc Island was chosen as the destination of this trip. The Vietnamese government is developing the tourism industry on the country's biggest island, thus granting visa-free for tourists who are visiting only the island. It was written in the airline's website. I flew from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City, where I could transit to Phu Quoc Island. The two legs were operated by different regular airlines, therefore, I could not transit directly. Before boarding the first flight, the flight attendants had already checked the visa requirement. After landing, I directly went to the transfer desk for information. First, I was told to clear the immigration directly. After being rejected, another ground staff printed my boarding pass and told us that we might need to wait for a flight attendant to register for us. After some moment, a senior flight attendant from our leg 1 carrier showed up. She seemed to be the only person in this airport, who knew the visa exemption policy. After some negotiation and explanation to the immigration staffs, my passport was finally stamped. Finally, we arrived at the domestic terminal in time. I wondered if I traveled with budget airlines this time, we might not enter Vietnam so easily, or I had been repatriated.
