Bryan的故事二十七 Bryan's chapter 27 自由行零壹 First experience in self-organized trip 旅行的方式有很多種，而我最喜歡的就是自定行程自由行。 想不起何時開始流行自由行的概念，而我第一次沒有跟隨旅行團外遊，是到馬來西亞吉隆坡。想當年，亞洲航空剛落戶澳門，打開澳門國際機場的廉航之門。當年登機牌還是使用熱敏紙，登機要鬥快上機霸位，降落的機場還是吉隆坡LCCT。 經過那些年，廉航的模式改變了，出行也越來越對自由行者方便。黑風洞是吉隆坡的著名景點之一，但當年要到訪並不算直接方便。那年網絡資源有限，GPS、線上地圖亦未盛行，一家人就是靠著最原始的地圖、旅行書轉輕軌，轉巴士到達黑風洞，在那條長長的樓梯上閃避膽大的猴子。 由旅行團到自由行，由備受照顧的客人變成要自己解決問題的旅人，兼顧的事情多了，但卻最有效鎖住記憶。當然，自由行也不是每個人都適合。 There are thousands ways to travel. I favor self-organized trips. I cannot recall when self-organized tour became popular in our society. My first ever trip-independent is to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In those years, Air Asia just launched its route to Macau, the boarding passes were still printed on heat-sensitive paper, passengers needed to run on-board to get the desired seats, and LCCT was still in use. The way that budget airlines operate have changed and travelling around becomes easier these days. In the old days, visiting Batu Cave in KL was not that straight forward. Without GPS, online map and other internet resources, the family changed trains and buses to get to one of the iconic site in KL. Organizing trips involves a lot of problem-solving, but I think it is the best way to keep the travel experience in our memory. However, it is obvious that it is not suitable for everyone. 照片 Photo： 我總覺得在外地坐巴士沒甚麼安全感，但2008年要去黑風洞，卻不得不靠它。 I always feel that taking bus in a foreign place is not that secure.
