Today, electricity is used almost everywhere in the world, but not every single site is built, and in many places electricity is delivered through transmission lines. Transmission lines are generally long, mostly through soft soil layers, and even swamps and wetlands, so it is particularly difficult to establish transmission line towers. The conventional practice is to use the combination base and large diameter filling pile foundation, but the combined foundation excavation is large, and the cost is high, the large machinery is difficult to reach the site because of the limited terrain. Micropiles is a kind of small diameter bored piles, compared with the ordinary pile construction, it has the advantage of fast operation, high bearing capacity and settlement. It is a new kind of environmental protection foundation, has been listed by state grid corporation as one of the new technologies. In the process of the establishment of the tower, with the diamond drilling, grouting and anchoring of the self drilling bolt system, the underground formed the foundations similar roots, then lay miniature pile in the ground, and vertical tower on it. The tower is not only stable, but also small in quantity and low in cost. The application of micropiles in transmission line will have important economic and theoretical significance.
