This high powered laser is amazing for its price. I went out to my uncles ranch and it's still visible at 100 yards.The sight has ambidextrous switches to turn on the laser and the basic mode is constant on/off. The first thing I did was insert the battery and the positive terminal of the battery is installed facing down towards the battery cover. Do not shine the laser into your eyes as it is very bright and it can damage your eyesight. We'll see over time how well it holds up, but considering how well built it feels and how well it performs, I'm guessing this is a product that is made to last. This 200mw Laser Pointer is really very bright, sharp and visible out to long distances. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, or should I say purchases because I just ordered two more! It is true that there is no power adjustment, so if this is really important to you because you want to use it indoors at night for example, considering how bright it is, you may want to consider a different product, although you still might be happy with it even for that use, as I am. Amazing laser. It's compact and sturdy I will be taking it down the range for daylight testing but so far with the testing I've done it's amazing. At night you can clearly see the laser 200 yards out. I mounted this laser on my Beretta m9 using the "ReCover Tactical BC2 Grip and Rail System for the Beretta m9" it works like a charm with the #1 rail attachment. When I turned this high powered laser on a visible green line shot out projecting a BRIGHT green dot on the wall..... I knew this thing was money. You can probably see the dot for 10000yds or so in sunlight, but at night it is crazy how far out u can see it.... It is much bigger than some others and is about the size of a pocket flashlight. I kinda like the size because it looks beefy. The high powered laser is simple and easy to install and the adjustments are easy to make. If you press the switches on both sides of the 200mw laser pointer for 3 seconds you can select the momentary on mode or the strobe mode and then back to the constant mode. Make sure that the laser mounting screws are tightened but do not strip them as they are small. Some people noted that you may have to use Blue Loctite to secure the screws but I have not had that issue with mine. I always mount items so that the piece that fits between the rail guides is setting on the back of the rail slot so the gun recoil does not move what you are mounting.
