From now on whoever continues to the end is really patient because I am going to write a survey here haha First of all I am a fan of this writer I Love 2 of her works & one of them ( Can You hear my heart) is in my all-time favorite shows but this drama has some issues which I'll point out the pros and cons of it. I'll applaud the writer for choosing rape as one of her subjects because it was so daring in a K-drama & I also want to thank her for portraying the feelings of the victims. We saw different responses to such incidents: Bo Ra & her mother & Lee Soo Yeon, how it could make one commit suicide, one turned into a killer & one into a cold, lost creature. This show tries to be TOO sad in a way that at times I wonder whether the writer only wanted us to cry. O_o the story itself is so tragic what's the point in making it more complicated at times or showing too many tears. The pacing could be faster & the murder story could be handled more accurately. Anyway I Love this writer for her characterization & the fact that she pays attentions to her villains too. However I wish we could let go of first loves in K-drama. How could u live with another hot boy for 14 years & kept loving ur first love? Stop smacking first love in our face like u are the only one experiencing it. Han Jung Woo: as a kid he was soo innocent & lovely but not perfect. I loved those touch of doubt at the beginning when he found out the fact about Soo Yeon being the murderer's daughter. That made him more real to me .he doubted, he thought, he concluded & became her friend. The incident was sooo frightening & made him into a traitor although I felt so sorry for him I was sooo mad at him that I enjoyed all the torture Soo Yeon gave him haha. I LOVED the fact that he felt guilty, once we had a hero who wasn't perfect: D Thank God . Jun (Harry): so this guy is everyone's new hatred statue but I want to ask sth from all the people who hate him. Imagine yourself a 12-year old child that ur step-brother sends fierce looking dogs to eat you up in order to oblige ur mother to speak. U'll lose ur ability to walk normally, u'll lose ur mother soon after. Harry is the most complex character in my opinion, her disability made him feel inferior to others for 14 years although he hid it all the time or pathetically use it as an excuse to linger on to Soo yeon's Shell. I knew from the start that he was the murder cause I saw it in his eyes as a child when he looked at the nurse. However I wonder if he wanted Soo Yeon as a part of his plan since the beginning. At first he asked her to go to France, so I guess her disobedience made him angry enough to make Soo yeon another player of his games. I am not saying he is redeemable but what I am trying to say is people are no born to be monsters. Sometimes not having one person to help you remain sane makes you end up being a paranoid cause all u had inside was hatred getting nurtured & watered every seconds with ur thought of being inferior & handicapped all ur life. Actually the fact that he had those creepy cameras everywhere is the proof of him feeling insecure all the time. I wish the writer would spend time showing us a bit of that lost 14 years. Soo Yeon (Zoey): I love her. I am so happy for YEH. Finally she is playing sth that challenges her acting skills. Thanks for saving urself girl, u were about to become a failed actress to me. Soo Yeon is another complicated character having to suffer many things since her childhood. Her cold, indifferent nature as an adult was perfect. I read here and there that people hated her but I Loved her first for being a different heroine not another cute one second for being COLD. She went through a lot so expecting her soul to remain intact or her spirit to remain beautiful is so unbelievable. I loved the scene in which a taxi driver touched her shoulder & she panicked out. a very nice moment to portray the side-effects of that incident on her soul. What happens in our childhood remains in our subconscious and shows itself in different circumstances. She lived with the thought of being thrown away, being forgotten, so it was so palpable that she hated everyone at first. Anyway I loved the episodes he was tormenting Jung Woo, cause that made me slowly forgive him. She needed to find out Jung Woo had been through the same so that she'll be able to love again.
