Hi Ublog, I am Kisso, first time posting here.Just want to resurrect this and chime in with my experience at The Pets Central.Overall very good, professional service and mostly helpful staff. However, one of the vets there, Dr. Kitty Wong, was less than pleasant. In the three days that my dog stayed there she repeatedly referred to him as female, which I wouldn't have minded except when asked a question about administering medicine she seemed to get angry and then gave me a very condescending explanation of what to do.This disgruntled me somewhat, as despite her many qualifications and vast experience, she was unable to ascertain that a dog with a pair of balls swinging between its legs is probably a male! To be fair though, she was on night shifts and looked like she hadn't slept for days so maybe she was having a bad week. Still, I feel my attitude was respectful and that I hadn't really provoked such a response.Other than that, the place is quite expensive, I will probably try Acorn next time to compare. And as pets seem to cost more than humans to fix, I would highly recommend getting insurance.Other sharing is about Happy Vets at Tai Hang where I have had terrible experience. The first two visits was fine, I thought the vets were kind and thorough but on my third visit with my dog, he had caught a cold and cut his front paw. The vet advised me to take him to get fixed meanwhile asking the surgeon to sew the wound his paw. However, during all this, neither the vet nor the nurse had helped me clean the wound, and upon leaving, when one of the shoes fell off, I asked for help but the nurse told us to go home and just wash the wound.Second part is, I know I should have realised but i didn't, that because my dog is on medication (antibiotics for the wound) he cannot undergo surgery. Thankfully the vets at SPCA weren't in a hurry to have my dog desexed.I have been following up on multiple local platform, for example, http://pet-grid.com/. I used Google Translate to try understanding its guidance to vet and I believe it is quite good. You guys may have a look as you wish.
