The company has announced that Jagex has outlined plans to deal with the issue. In a new blog entry, credited to "The RuneScape Team", the publisher states that "gold purchased via RWT is a concern for OSRS Gold any online game that has the possibility of trading currency" as well as that even though the "Anti-Cheating Team has done a lot to tackle RWT sellers both inside but also out" but it is taking more drastic measures with immediate impact. In a statement, Jagex claims to have the "growing team and improved tools", Jagex says it will not just be focused on sellers of gold and resources through RWT but also buyers. The goal is to reduce the demand as well as supply.Jagex claims it will start sending "messages to players we've identified as engaging in the RWT" within "the next few hours". "For those who were involved, we want to make clear that this is your first und only caution," said the statement.Other measures the developer will take as punishments for RWT actions are scheduled to include wealth removal - basically the removal of illicit gains from players' accounts at a server level - and potential bans.RuneScape's PvP aspect, also known as"the Duel Arena, will also have stricter rules put in place. Jagex declares that the feature "has been a flashpoint for this harmful behaviour", and that 38 per cent of all bans against RWT activity up until now stem from this element in the game. It says that already amounts around "thousands of bans every month".As a result, the developer seems to be considering the nuclear approach, stating that "we're planning in the long run to eliminate down the Duel Arena out of RuneScape completely." While it's waiting the game will take "some temporary measures" to clean up PvP "until our development teams are able toCheap OSRS Gold release an important update that completely substitutes for the Duel Arena next year."
