I like New World a lot. If you're craving an MMO with a breath of fresh air and try something new, this is it!I've picked a low pop server and never deal with excessive queue times, and even my server has plenty of players running around to make it feel like a lively world. The combat system is actually not as bad as everyone makes it out to be; It's not as smooth as WoW, but it is leagues better than SWTOR and other clunky MMOs. My absolute favorite aspect of this game is that all professions matter (you're not limited to choosing what you want to do), and there is no class so you can "spec" into DPS, heals, or tank whenever you want! You certainly have to grind the skills to make 'em worthwhile, but that's part of the fun I think. But I still don't want to waste so much time making New World coins.Pros:1. Large world with varied terrain and mob types. 2. Endless gathering items. If you see something in the world it's very likely you can harvest it somehow.3. A very deep crafting tree with BiS gear is craftable but they require boss drops, a new twist on the endless gear farming that adds variety.4. Tons of quests. XP and reputation have not been a problem for any zone. The quest variety isn't great but you'll find leveling easy if you don't get sidetracked with the harvesting and crafting available5. A pretty well-done fishing mini-game. It doesn't feel unnecessarily burdensome and reeling in a fish big or small feel rewarding. You can really tell what you're reeling in as your doing so.Cons: 1. Very limited options to work with and there's no in-game barbershop to change your character's look (yet).2. Open world mic was definitely a bad idea IMO, but you can turn this option off (not sure why it was made default at the start).3. A few bugs here and there.Summary:Overall, New World feels like a well-designed game that benefits solo players and people who want to play in groups, a good game for PvE'ers and PvP'ers.
