If you were a parent, I would not know how to tell my kids that uncle Policemen are hurting our folk. (We were taught to call a policeman uncle policeman. This shows our respect in a warm and cute Cantonese way). As a taxpayer, I need to re-think that am I right to pay tax in the future? When I know that my tax money is channelized to buy tear gas and pepper spray for my neighbours. If I were the head of ICAC (Independent Commission against Corruption), I would take initiative to investigate to see if there are any officials who have relatives or friends running weapon-related business. If I were the head of Consumer Council, I’d check to see if there is a big discount on tear gas and pepper spray !? The Choice Magazine by Consumer Council should publish the proper use of pepper and gas as well. Pepper and gas are for household kitchen use mainly. Misallocating of kitchen resources will hinder economic development in long-run. If I were a policeman, I would be lazy in carrying out my duty on Harcourt Road and save my energy and spraying skills for triad and for those who block busy streets on a daily basis like illegal car parking and goods loading. Those who beat the unarmed citizens with batons, please don’t sit back and relax when you confront real thieves and robberies in future. If I were a thief, these days would be a perfect time for me to make ‘a big deal’ as I am quite sure that no policemen will have time for me and no detention centres would want me to ‘Occupy’ it. Dear uncle policemen, don’t you feel sick ? ! Go to see a doctor if you feel uncomfortable! Or if you have family members or friends that were hurt on the streets, they really need you to go home and take of care them.
