We stayed at Hotel Monterey Hanzomon in Tokyo. a It is not too far from Tokyo Station. The room we stayed in was quite small but surprisingly comfortable and cosy. During our stay I was extremely happy with the hotel and each night I had a very good sleep, ready for our adventure the next day!! On the second day in Tokyo, we woke up at 4am due to the fact that we went to sleep around 6pm the day before. But we felt ready and left the hotel at 5.30am to make our way to Tsukiji Fish Market for a sushi breakfast. Hanzomon Station was eerily quiet.. My first thought of the fish market was.... FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD FOOD!! I was not disappointed, there was a lot of restaurants to choose from and we did not know where to start... Then I spotted this place attracted by the crowd standing outside. I thought to myself 'Hang on, Sushi Dai? Haven't I read about it online when I was doing research?' Apparently Sushi Dai is a very famous sushi place, and people have to wait for a long time before being served. I looked at the crowd outside thinking there was not THAT many people, and how wrong was I~~!! I turned to the main street and found MORE people waiting... So in the end we decided to go to this one for breakfast There was a crowd outside too so surely it could not be too bad? And no, it was not bad at all. If anything I tasted some freshest sushi I have ever experienced. Unfortunately there was no picture allowed inside so I could not take any. But I will never forget the taste of those sushi on my tongue... It was not a cheap breakfast but definitely worth every penny (or yen?) of it~~~ It was only 8am when we walked out way to Ginza from fish market. The shops were still closed so we wandered around in the rain and sat in Starbucks for a bit waiting for the shops to open. At my boyfriend's request, we went to Sony Building. He works in Sony Entertainments so was very interested in coming here. They were holding a Gaspard and Lisa exhibition in association with Sony at the time. There they were welcoming us at the front entrance =p ''Hello hello welcome welcome!!'' 點擊圖片放大 +2 ''Goodbye goodbye! Please come again~~'' The next stop was Ginza Questina to see my beloved Hello Kitty~~!! It was the day before Mother's day and I wish I could give one of these flowers to my mum... After much walking around (and shopping!!) in Ginza we were starving by 4pm, so we walked into one of those fast food places for lunch. Very traditional Food was quite good and I loved the broth! Then we went to Akihabara. I was in heaven~~ I remember thinking how I could not wait to go to Ghibli Studio... 點擊圖片放大 +2 We went back to hotel around 8pm, by then we were already tired from jet lag and called it a day!
