如果你唔係住喺倫敦，英國搭早機比起香港要更加早起，或者可以話係無得訓。凌晨大約12:45am我已經到達伯明翰Coach station ，準備乘搭1:00 開出的coach 直達 stansted airport ，車程比原定快了半小時，3:45am已經到達機場。If you are not live London (which I am not). You require waking up even earlier compared to Hong Kong if taking an early flight. Around 12:45 am, I arrived at Birmingham Coach Station, getting ready to board the coach which directly to Stansted Airport, departing at 1:00 am. The drive was faster than planned by half an hour, and I arrived at the airport by 3:45 am. 到達機場後，本來以為要等Check in Desk 開放之後才可以領取登機證。等了差不多一個半小時才有職員告知，領取登機證不用到check in 櫃檯辦理（今次小弟乘搭Ryanair ，所以非歐盟護照人士，都需要經過visa check 後，才可領取登記證），不過留意番如果你有寄艙行李，都係要等 check in desk 開放先至可以寄艙。After arriving at the airport, I initially thought I had to wait for the Check-in Desk to open before I could collect my boarding pass. I waited for about an hour and a half until a staff informed me that I didn't need to go to the check-in counter to collect my boarding pass, instead I can collect it in the customer service area, which has a shorter queue. (since I was flying with Ryanair and not being an EU passport holder, I needed to go through a visa check before collecting my boarding pass) 領取登機證後，就可以到departure 位置準備過關檢查，因為三間英國最普遍的廉航公司，基本上大部份飛機都係 stansted Airport 起飛，所以過關查袋極度之多人，我排咗差唔多半個鐘才到我檢查，所以大家如果都有機會係呢個機場搭廉航的話，記得要預返時間。After collected my boarding pass, I proceeded to the departure area to prepare for the security check. Since the three most common budget airlines in the UK mostly operate from Stansted Airport, there was a significant number of people going through security and baggage checks. I waited for almost half an hour before it was my turn for the inspection. 另外記得埋到去檢查位置，液體要用他們提供的透明膠袋裝住，電器風筒都要拎出嚟，所以建議拎定晒先行去排隊，如果唔係一路行一路拎好麻煩（就好似我咁🤧）Just a friendly reminder, when you go to the inspection area, liquids must be placed in the transparent plastic bags provided by them, and hairdryers and other electrical devices must be taken out. Therefore, it is advisable to have everything prepared in advance and in hand before joining the queue. 唔好彩嘅係，因為每人只可以帶一包液體物品（一包的定義係佢比你嘅透明膠袋， 大約可以放到四支100 ml 沖涼液），所以我被迫丟棄一支基本上未用過嘅潤膚膏、一個hair gel 同埋一支酒精搓手液。個刻真係好無奈…🤦🏻♂️Unfortunately, each person is only allowed to bring one bag of liquid items (the definition of a bag is the transparent plastic bag they provide, which can hold approximately four 100ml shower gels). As a result, I was forced to throw away an almost unused moisturiser, a hair gel, and a bottle of hand sanitiser. It was truly frustrating... 🤦🏻♂️ 過完關之後，因為登機閘口只會在起飛之前一個鐘顯示（但係起飛前半個鐘就係 final call ，所以理論上得半個鐘時間行去登機閘口），所以我都喺候機大堂等咗一陣。After going through security, I waited for a while in the airport lounge because the boarding gate only shows up one hour before the departure time (but the final call is made half an hour before the departure time, so theoretically, you only have half an hour to walk to the boarding gate) 因為今次旅程我帶一個背囊一個行李，所以我買嘅機票係 priority & 2 cabin bag，可以優先登機，而我好好彩咁，排到優先登機嘅第一位（所以先影到呢張相🤣🤣）As I only brought a backpack and a suitcase for this trip, so I purchased a priority & 2 cabin bag ticket, which allowed me to board the plane with priority. Luckily, I was the first in line for priority boarding (that's why I can capture this photo 🤣🤣) 正式起飛，由倫敦飛往西班牙聖地牙哥，總共需時兩小時十分鐘。flying from London to Santiago de Compostela, Spain, with a total flight time of two hours and ten minutes. Santiago de compostela 入境比我想像中快，只係需要15分鐘，亦都無再需要check袋。Entering Santiago de Compostela was faster than I expected. It only took 15 minutes, and there was no need for a baggage check again. 入境之後，第一件事就係去買三文治🥪（其實係為咗唱一蚊散銀搭巴士），但係由踏入西班牙開始，已經冇人再講英文，餐廳個收銀全程係冇講個英文，但係我係完全唔識西班牙文。所以佢有佢講，我有我講，最後都成功唱到五個一蚊1硬幣。After going through the customs, the first thing I did was to buy a sandwich 🥪 (actually, it was to get some 1 EUR coin for buying the bus ticket). However, from the moment I arrived in Spain, no one spoke English anymore. The cashier at the restaurant didn't speak a word of English, but the point was that I didn't know any Spanish at all. So, they had their way of communicating, and I had mine, but in the end, I still managed to successfully pay the food and get five one-euro coins. 成功唱到一蚊銀之後，下定決心搭巴士出發去宿舍，其實本身係諗住搭的士，但係價錢實在爭太遠（26 EUR vs 1 EUR) 。而搭巴士又係另外一個問題，就係唔知邊一個站落車，唯有鼓起勇氣問人，當然我都預咗佢哋話唔識英文，不過好好彩，我問嘅嗰一對西班牙夫妻，佢哋雖然唔識講英文，但係都好盡力用Google Translate令我明白，到站佢哋會叫我落車。真心嘅，好彩有佢哋，如果唔係跟住上網顯示會停站嘅數目，我一早已經落咗車。After successfully getting the one-euro coins, I decided to take the bus to the dormitory. Initially, I had considered taking a taxi, but the price difference was just too significant (26 EUR vs 1 EUR).However, taking the bus presented another challenge, I didn't know which stop to get off at. I pluck up the courage to ask someone on the bus, of course I knew they might can't speak English. Fortunately, the Spanish couple I approached, despite they only have limited English ,they made a genuine effort to communicate with me using Google Translate. They told me that they will let me know when to get off at the correct stop. Honestly, I was extremely lucky to have encountered them. Otherwise, If I based on the information in google map, I would have already gotten off the bus much earlier. 最後成功順利到達宿舍，但係不得不提嘅係，連大學宿舍接待處嗰個人，都係唔識講英文，最後都係Google Translate幫手😮💨。Finally, I arrived at the dormitory successfully. However, it's worth mentioning that even the person at the university dorm reception didn't speak English. In the end, we had to rely on Google Translate for assistance again. 😮💨 總括而言，Day 1 出發日並不是我預期的順利，特別是到達西班牙後，發現自己完全溝通唔到，講真真心驚～不過今日都只係第一日，希望嚟緊順順利利，過一個充實嘅 summer course 。All in all, Day 1 of the journey did not go as smoothly as I expected, especially after arriving in Spain and realizing I couldn't communicate effectively. Honestly, it was quite nervous.
