On the second, we were well rested. We left the hotel in mid morning and wanted a place for brunch. We took the tram into town centre and found this place. Meat hanging on the front Parma ham is another must try in Spain 點擊圖片放大 We ordered a seafood paella (Spanish fried rice) for four people. When it arrived we could not believe how big it was. It took up the whole table and was absolutely massive! We did not expect it to be this big and was an eye opener! After we finished our meal, the first stop was Mercado Central (中央市場). There were stalls outside of Mercado Central. The outside of the market Fresh veg and fruits sold in the market And meat... ....and rabbits.... It was so hot, my brother bought three of these drinks each while we were in the market. Pans for Paella! Look how big some of them are!! Lonja De La Seda (絲綢貿易中心) Look out for the details in the building 點擊圖片放大 +2 Even the ceilings were full of details 點擊圖片放大 Valencia Cathedral (大教堂) The Plaza de la Virgen On one side of the plaza there were old Gothic buildings and coffee shops on the other side. Nuestra Señora de los Desamparados (孤苦聖母教堂) It was full of people and noise on the outside. Once you stepped into the church it was like entering a different world where it was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. I was a bit self-couscious taking pictures inside the church because of the sound my shutter made, but the interiors were breathtakingly beautiful! Mercado de Colón (哥倫布市場) The Columbus Market was renovated and is no longer a market but rather a place for people to relax and socialise. Full of coffee shops Modern restaurants are being built in the basement By dinner time, we were a bit sick of Spanish food so we thought we would have something different - Italian. This Italian restaurant was located in the shopping centre opposite the hotel. I loved their home made bread!
